Fused silica is made of natural high purity silica by melting at a temperature above 1760℃ in a electric furnace , then followed by rapid cooling. This process converts crystalline SiO2 into amorphous glass melt.
The melting temperature of fused quartz is about 1713℃, the thermal conductivity is low, the thermal expansion coefficient is almost the smallest among all refractories, so it has a very high thermal shock stability.
Products are mainly used in precision casting, glass ceramics, refractory materials and electronic appliances and other industries.
